On 14 April 2021, the Department of Information Technology (IT), Ministry of Health hosted the “Suggestions on the structural specification of Electronic Medical Record” Seminar.

The seminar with the presence of relevant ministries (representatives of Health Insurance Department, Department of Medical Examination and Treatment – Ministry of Health); IT staff at a number of hospitals under the Ministry of Health (Huu Nghi Hospital, National Children’s Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital), several Grade 1 hospitals (Quang Ninh Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Long General Hospital) Khanh, An Giang General Hospital, Vinh General Hospital); representatives of businesses in the field of Medical Technology and a number of international organizations (FHI 360 Vietnam, Path).

Mr. Nguyen Francis Tuan Anh – Technology Expert of VMED Group – a corporation that actively accompanies the Ministry of Health in the journey of Digital Transformation, pioneering in the development and application of digital platforms towards building Smart hospital, participated in the seminar and had positive comments to improve the feasibility of editing the document “Structural specification of Electronic Medical Record”.

Two main topics discussed by experts throughout the seminar include: Specification of Electronic Medical Record structure; Core Data specification for Vietnamese Health Information Systems according to the HL7 FHIR standard.
