When the whole country is eagerly preparing for the coming Lunar New Year, somewhere – in remote remote areas of the country, there are still individuals and households struggling in semi-fed and semi-clad worries. Many children are going to school day by day in the condition of inadequate facilities and school supplies, etc. A clear awareness of the role and social responsibility for the community in the sustainable development path of the business, on 4 January 2020, in response to the program “Winter warmth” mainly organized by Quang Ninh Province’s Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Vietmedical Company (VMED Group) joined hands to bring love to children and relatives at 4 poor areas in Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province: Sam Quang village, Phieng Sap village – Dong Tam commune, Loong Vai village, Ngan Kheo village – Hoanh Mo commune.

” Winter warmth” is a volunteer program organized by Quang Ninh Province’s Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital in the co-operation of Vietmedical (VMED Group), Vietcombank Quang Ninh, Vietcom Co., Ltd., Nhat Minh Company and other donators. The program brought the most practical gifts to the people in remote areas under poor and cold condition in winter and especially children in the highlands who are semi-fed and semi-clad but very studious.
Thanks to the support of the local government, the volunteer group gave 250 gifts to the children (each gift included warm coats, desks, backpacks, notebooks, pens). 217 Tet gifts including rice, cooking oil, seasonings, and salt were also delivered to each household. In addition, the delegation spent time to visit, encourage and give Tet gifts, warm blankets and cash to 12 families with extremely difficult circumstances in each village.
Also at the program, the “Winter Warmth” volunteer group conducted medical examination and freely provided medicine to people. This is really a deeply humanistic activity, helping upland people understand their health status, promptly update knowledge about prevention of some common diseases as well as access to medical examination and treatment services, thereby raising awareness of health protection. The doctors conducted medical examination for 300 people and detected many medical diseases such as high blood pressure, cirrhosis, gout, etc especially the Screening for Critical Congenital Heart Defects for children in the region and detected 3 cases of Ventricular septal defect, advised the family to make follow-up examination for surgery. This is really a deeply humanistic activity, helping upland people know about their own health status, promptly update knowledge about prevention of some common diseases, as well as access to medical examination and treatment services, thereby raising awareness of health protection.
